I really loved this one, very well done!
Sorry I haven't been able to buy your album yet, but hopefully I'll be able to get it soon!

larrynachos responds:

Hey man, it's cool. It's the thought that counts. And thanks!

It's great to have you back! :)
This has got to be one your best songs yet, I loved every moment of it!
The only problem is that the bass in the 2nd half is a bit quiet, but that's a VERY minor problem anyways.
I'd love to remix this, could you send me the file?

TeraVex responds:

Sure! It'd be great to have your creative mind remix this song! And I thank you for the compliment although I too think it is one of my best songs, I thank the Sylenth1 vst for making it so! 1 FL File for Vehemer coming up! I shall send it to you in a jiffy! Also, I'm trying to make all the songs of this EP this level of quality, so expect more like this!

Really interesting and unique song! Though it was pretty repetitive, but still enjoyable!
But this isn't speedcore, at all. Speedcore is really really REALLY (Up to 1000+ BPM) fast gabber music that uses as heavily distorted kick drum, and pretty much has no melody.

Wilhiemthe2nd responds:

Oh boy, I demonstrate my gargantuan understanding of Electronic Genres so well.
Also, 1000 BPM? are you fucking kidding me? My Music program wont even let me set anything that high.

MAN this track is good!
What program do you use? I'd love to collab with you in the future! (After some time, I JUST released another collab)

SASKID responds:

Using FruityLoops :D Used it not long after i finished with Cubase about 6 years ago now haha!

Works well as an intro!
The only suggestion I have is that you should try to build up suspense, I think adding a slowly rising string throughout the song would help make it more suspenseful.
Other then that, it's just fine!
But this really should be classified as ambient instead of techno.

TeraVex responds:

Thanks!
Okay cool gotcha!

Great song! The synth work is fantastic, and the build up was amazing!
But tbh, I really didn't like the drop, it was a bit underwhelming after the near perfect build. My main problems with it are 1, it could use more bass, it sounds a bit empty, and 2, it sounds WAY too much like Sonar Propagation (Especially the first drop) but I did like second drop.
But still, amazing build. And overall, good song!

DjAbbic responds:

Interesting points. I agree with your point about the emptiness, one of my friends pointed that out as well, but I struggled to fit more bass in there without obscuring another sound. Unfortunately when working with complextro, I need to make sure each sound can be heard and I'm still learning how to integrate as much bass as possible.

As for sounding like Sonar Propagation, I can hear what you mean now that I listen back. I don't know what happened there, but I've probably somehow developed a taste for the way I structured the sequence of the synths. Hopefully I grow out of that.

Thanks for the constructive review, glad you liked it :)

Very well composed, loved the retro synths!
My problems are that it's way too short. And the drums, it really annoys me when people use the default FL Studio drum.
The mixing could use some work, the audio clipped at times, the drums were too quiet, the bass was too loud.
But overall, pretty good song!

ikitty2 responds:

Thanks for the review :) I'm well aware that the song is too short, which is why I pointed that out in my description. Sorry that the drums annoy you, but I'm still new at electronic music and unless someone tells you about FL Studio or you read a tutorial, I've found that it's not exactly user-friendly, but that could also just mean that I'm just not good with the program. I haven't figured out how to actually edit or make my own drums yet, so until I do, I'm stuck with using the default ones. Either way, I shouldn't try to make excuses for the things I need work on and I'll just try to do better next time.

Wow I sounded kinda whiney here... But I really do appreciate your review, so thank you. Any criticisms at all are helpful :)

While I think you have potential (The synth at 2:52 sounds awesome!) this song was just too annoying for me to enjoy.
The first thing that bothered me about this song was the fact that I could INSTANTLY what program you made it with. You need to use less presets and loops, it makes your song a lot less interesting.
Second, the whole song was too loud and chaotic. Some of the voice samples got really annoying.
But the melody's in this song were very well done, I loved them!
Please don't be offended or discouraged, I'm not trying to insult you, I'm only trying to give you advise. Keep making music and you'll get better, you're already pretty good at composing melody's!

BurningBinary responds:

Doesn't bother me in the least, that's what reviews are for. This is actually the first song I've ever made with ANY program, so I'm still way low on the learning curve. I come from a guitar background, so that's pretty much where I'm starting from, and trying to pick up the drums and synths as I go!

Great as always!
I'll buy you're album as soon as I can, it sounds awesome!

larrynachos responds:

Really? Thanks, man!

Hey, aren't you working on an album? Let me know when you release it!

Trance, chiptune and rock all in one song, and I absolutely love it!
Is that you playing guitar? It sounds awesome!

larrynachos responds:

I wish it was, but I can't record my guitar. I used a plugin.
